In this session, Feisal and Tania will explore the cause of pain injury and disease, the body as a whole connected movement system, and the benefits of becoming MovementWise.
Tania Cotton: Tania is a Movement Analyst with over 25 years of experience as a Physiotherapist and Health & Performance Educator. She founded MovementWise to teach practical ways of overcoming injury to live an active, healthy life, after 12 years as a consultant for the Swiss Olympic Medical Centre in Geneva, where she worked with numerous world class and Olympic athletes, and organisations such as The WTO, UN, WHO and P&G.
Tania has a deep understanding of how even small changes in our posture, movement and lifestyle habits can significantly impact health and performance outcomes and our sense of wellbeing. She believes that, for sustained success, it is essential to understand each individual not as ‘an injury’ or ‘a disease’ but as a whole person in the context of real life.
Giving individuals the courage to do things differently, she changes the way they think about movement so that they can transform the way they live their life. In this way, they embark on a rewarding journey that enables them to discover a ‘new normal’ at each milestone of their life.
